@brokensword I have the deep purple Morning Glory growing in my greenhouse. I don't know where it came from, it just grew on its own (I call it a gift from the universe). It started as a seedling and I was intrigued by the look of the first 2 leaves, and even more so when I realized it was going to have heart shaped leaves, which are one of my favorite
I had no idea it was a morning Glory I had never seen one before... so I repotted it as it grew, and nurtured it with love like I do all other plants (and many weeds  )
...once I realized it was a vine I added support and boy it grew so fast hubby and I named it "Jack and the beanstalk

I see you have different color ones and I'm wondering if you planted them, or if the seeds of one plant will result in give different color plants?

once upon a time I planted them, but for years now, they just come up from seed. I usually have a ton, have to 'weed' them out, generally leave one or two to do their thing as this time of the summer, where they're growing, there isn't a lot of color there. I don't like when they start to tangle into other tall plants, though and will cut them out if they do. Sorta like weeds now, for me. Glad YOU think they're a gift but in time, you may find they are a pest! I bet you'll get seedlings NEXT year from where you planted any vine this year. The seeds can last for years, I'm told.
