Re: How's the weather today?
No hurricane! Just rain, some thunder, occasional high winds, flood watch, and the pond was topped off from yesterday's 1.5" of rain. All is wet, but well.

Re: How's the weather today?
"Cooled down" here to 89 today. Sun in the morning, now (6pm) thunder, lightning, gusty wind, and rain. My rain gauge says 3/4" in the past hour. I think we had Fla weather today, though without the rain (so far; due tomorrow/Monday) but we definitely had the heat and humidity! Wasn'...

Re: new little green frogs from last summers amphibian shenanigans
Rats to you Mr Kingy Boy, you have thwarted my plans again! I could have had another servant added to my list. Now you will just have to do more dirty duties since you have created this mess yourself! Get to work on that new sewer system we are adding to the castle. Just watch out for the giant Amo...

Re: Does anyone know this plant?
The hose and timer is a great suggestion. Thank you. I think I'll start co locating plants that want water from time to time so I could do a simple irrigation back-up. Even the overfeeding-fishNpond-sitter ought to be able to turn it on once a week (and I'd have an auto shutoff timer). With any luck...

Re: Does anyone know this plant?
How are you "all"'s agastache growing efforts going? I ask because I'm always looking for plants here in Tampa FL that are heat and drought resistent. The Florida summer sun really is intense, I don't irrigate, and don't water plants on a regular basis. My bog is full of plants, so until ...

Re: Growing Citrus in cold Climate Anyone?
Don't you have them back there all over like here? People are out picking them like crazy now as they are in full bloom now w/plenty of that black fruit. no, I don't hardy ever see them. I think most are planted by actual 'farmer' types and not many of those around here. Pretty nasty shrubs and not...

Re: Growing Citrus in cold Climate Anyone?
We did prune it but not enough I guess. Might still try it and prune more this year and see what happens but we can't stop the yucky sap stuff from killing it. Might make it for a few more years, don't know. I had no idea about citrus trees. They won't grow here. So is this your little Lemon tree y...

Re: Watcha doing today?
If you haven't bought one yet. My fridge repair guys say fork over for the extended warranty (hate to hear it, but amused they're honest about it). You may want to call a repair guy and ask which ones they think are better than average. Having an icemaker of some sort is helpful for house resale va...
