A video showing basically how you can build a stable waterfall. This is just an example of how to 'build' the base in a stair-step fashion. The actual end result can take any shape or form based on your own vision. In this particular example made to help a new ponder visualize how to include a bog filter set high above his river to form both a weeping waterfall out of the bog and a tall sheet pour waterfall from an included weir, in the bog box. Then the basic idea of facia rock to decorate and camouflage everything. A liner is not shown but is vital; line the bog box, in and out, drape down the front and hang all the way into the water catch (pond, river, etc) below. This 'hill' liner should extend at least 6" into the catch basin and the liner OF the catch basin should be 12" up under the hill liner; this prevents wicking. Another important aspect; EVERYTHING should have a liner under it; the slab/brick/block base construction, the facia rock, any planting soil, any plantings, deco wood. This is so any water splashing or leaking will ALWAYS be caught by the liner and returned to the basin portion below. Also the liner should extend at least 6" above the initial bog water level as with time, that level will rise and overflow. Any extra liner should be rolled and camouflaged for any later need, NOT cut. Same basic philosophy as with the actual pond.
