is it actually growing in the pond's margins, or is that on land? Beautiful flowers! We're only just beginning to get plants emerging!

It is planted in gravel in the pond..I cut it way back about a month ago and it took off again:)
900 gallons, 30" deep, BioFalls and skimmer, 25 Shubunkin Goldfish

@rubyduby so that plant will grow in colder areas also? Does yours die back to the roots in winter or is it so warm there all year that it stays somewhat green? I bet it would die back here and then come back in Spring. I am trying to stick w/plants in my pond that don't need much maintenance. I like the ones that I don't have to cut the tops off in Fall. Otherwise I have to raise the net all around and reach in and try to get at them and drag the dead stuff out.
I am getting lazy in my aged to perfection stage in life :cool:

It does not die back here..It doesn't even go dormant because there is always new growth on it (that is why I have to keep cutting it back...great root system too)
