Re: Pond Reconstruction Project (+ Bog)
Been a busy summer and finally back with an update! Things have moved along well. Plants are all barefooted now with the exception of water lily. Just wedged them in and some have smaller .5-1” rocks under for a base. I can reach into all the areas to yank and monitor spread except the very bottom. ...

Re: General advice? Planting/overwintering plants indoor-Sweetflag, Arrowhead, Marsh Marigold, Corkscrew Rush, Lilies,
Sounds good I will leave and try it out the following year but think I’ll need to figure out a solution for canna as it doesn’t seem to be budging after I replanted it a month ago indoors in soil. Think lilies dead also. Not doing much after 2 or 3 weeks. Just white film which makes me think decayed...

General advice? Planting/overwintering plants indoor-Sweetflag, Arrowhead, Marsh Marigold, Corkscrew Rush, Lilies, Cann
First "real" year with the pond and first winter, decided to bring plants indoors due to the frigid temps here. (and Hello to 13.5" of snow yesterday) Need some advice other than "just keep buying new" plants each year because can't say I have a green thumb or it went well :...

Re: Overwintering hardy water lily indoors?
They live in water and all, but just to confirm, as long as this between 32-50 degrees, don’t matter if it sits in old stale water until next season? Despite having two full-size fridges, and two mini fridges, havent convinced Wife to put the tubers in the fridge yet lol https://i.imgur.com/6TJh5Ez....

Re: Overwintering hardy water lily indoors?
So don’t worry about taking the lilies out of the containers. Just toss them in the garage more or less, bucket and all? Drainage? (No holes as I was trying to contain)

Overwintering hardy water lily indoors?
Getting ready to winterize (or am I behind? Lol). Water lily will only be at 1.75-2’ depth for winter and pond will freeze solid for winter in Wisconsin. Aiming to bring it in but saw leaving it in the pot (hard sided, no drainage, buckets) and bring indoors, keep 50deg/moist, throw back in the pond...

Re: Pond Reconstruction Project (+ Bog)
hmjv-7dgEfk Back but not lots of changes, but lots to do, probably just next year at this point. Wife took the purchase power away until next spring so it is where it is until next year. Lots of liner out, per the company, no worries as it’ll fray to show the age. Need to find a way to tuck the lin...

Re: Pond Reconstruction Project (+ Bog)
Work has slowed down even w the past week off. Had the kids while wife was on a Las Vegas work trip. Money and time crunches w other house and life priorities. One kid killed his iPad in the rain. Got our automower back from the shop and had to monkey w the wires which sapped two days. Had to take o...
