from the last weekend in July
it was a bit cloudy and not typically 85F+ but still got some pics; first up is a pond overview;
.
.
the spider lily RE-BLOOMING! AGAIN! Two blooms today;
.
.
2 clematis are either re-blooming or STILL blooming;
.
.
purple phlox and black-eyed Susans, and impatiens in the bog; they're doing unbelievably well!
.
.
the arrowheads with black taro now starting to be the monster it is! Also, the water hyacinths; started from just ONE very small overwintered specimen. Not sure if they'll bloom, though...
.
.
the turtles...
.
.
our oldest (Kermit = 12 years now) and one of our very youngest frogs;
.
.
and finally, some water lily pics;

Things are really growing great in there @brokensword
Did you steal some magic spells from the castle cupboard or something to achieve such beauty

nawww, nothing that drastic; just raided your medicine cabinet and threw half the contents in the pond. Figured if it kept you goin' and thrivin', the fish would follow suit!
And yeah, I ignored all them warnings on the label...heh heh
Thanks for the looksee!!

Are you insinuating something? What I'm not sure but sounds like you think I am down under and if I am I must be Queen of the mermaid's too. My work is never done. Now I monitor your upside down wet pets

Re: from the last weekend in July
AHA! So, that WAS you! I was checking the CAstle security tapes and whaddya know, seems the moat perimeter was breeched last week! Here, let me break down the footage for you...
See, here's where the camera first picks the intruder up...
.
.
then we see a pause, presumably to order a mojito and a plate of Godiva, but apparently, the 'mermaid' didn't like the fact she was carded first...
.
.
...and got REAL angry when told 'no chocolate after dark'!!
.
.
thankfully, no further outbursts were caught and with a snort of derision, the intruder turned and left...
.
.
can't say I was sorry to see 'her' go, but, well, it was a WHALE of a TAIL, wouldn't you say?
.
..
this all reminds me of something I saw last time at the zoo, ya know? Sign read;
DON'T FEED THE ANIMALS
a lot more apt than I've ever have imagined!
Re: from the last weekend in July
@brokensword I think somebodies been feeding you something other than just mojito's!
Some kind of wild and crazy stuff
Careful or you'll end up in a cage at the zoo

RUBY!!! How ya doin'? Fully functional and ready to kick some a...whoops! Sowwy, meant to respond to j.w and forgot who I was talkin' to! That is, ready to mix a new batch of mojitos and join the pond parade again? How's your pond doing? And your 'extra' lil fry that grew into stepkids? They still with ya?
Thanks, Ruby, for the kind words and the second eyes on those security tapes; j.w is a good sport and when she pokes at me, well, you know, just gotta find a 'better' poker in response! Sorta what we do around here and won't get stuck in a corner for it neither!! Besides, it wasn't ME who was caught on camera...methinks you'd better have a 'talk' with the choco queen...erm, the gif queen, that is! I forget sometimes which came first, ya know?
Thanks for ridin' shotgun over lil queenie; you have no idea how much of a load that takes off my duty list!!!

Re: from the last weekend in July
hey @WetWork ; remember you were asking about re-blooming the spider lily? This will make the third blooming for me. Of course, it was growing all winter but still, a nice surprise!
Re: from the last weekend in July
Yep Mr Kingy boy is far out in his way outness for sure! We need to reign him in now and then. Tie him to a chair and feed him the little red pills now and then. When he gets into my chocolates he is the worst! Can't stop twitching and jumping around like a yo yo!
I'll just need to find a better locking cabinet for the sweet stuff eventually.
It is kind of fun to tempt him tho
Here kingy Boy, here boy come and get it
