Gemma's Raised Beds and Mini Orchard Project
Re: Gemma's Raised Beds and Mini Orchard Project
The raised garden is coming along beautifully, the pruning for airflow really works!
Up until now we've only harvested lettuce, chard berries and herbs but now the first zucchini is ready to be picked, tomatoes are growing, peppers, beans and eggplants are in full bloom....I love my vegetable garden

wow, it all looks so neat and tidy! Giving farming a brand new look, imo! You must indeed have a green thumb as all the pics show very healthy looking veggies! And here we all thought your 'job' was holding you back from getting anything done!

Lol thank you! I like everything neat and I don't mind the work...I think it turned out pretty good using same color beds but different shapes and sizes...I did that cause I didn't want a "cemetery" style layout.brokensword wrote: ↑Thu Jun 23, 2022 8:47 pm wow, it all looks so neat and tidy! I really don't do much in there...I've only had to water twice, and even that it's fast and easy (I leave the hose on the ground as you might have seen) now that the straws is gone there are no weeds to be pulled.
I just love walking around in there! I visit the garden every day before and/or after dinner and on weekends I prune and make sure the melons trail strait, that's pretty much all I do ...oh yeah, I do talk to the plants

Uh Oh, you's a goner.......................
Re: Gemma's Raised Beds and Mini Orchard Project
Melons grew large enough to need netting support, first Eggplant round is ready to be harvested, tomato plants are loaded but still need time to ripen fruits...

Re: Gemma's Raised Beds and Mini Orchard Project
Thank you! Means a lot to me to hear what you said cause I never really grown many of these veggies, I see a yellow leaf and I think I'm doing it wrong
