Is it Merry Christmas week, yet???

Not feeling well. Could not eat anything yesterday for our gathering. Bummer, it's diverticulitis again! I will rest and eat nothing but liquids and this will be over soon!

awwww, sowwy jDub; hope you feel better soon! I know you're one tough bird but maybe a doc could lessen the instances of this affliction?? Sucks it was around a holiday too!

Thanks for the well wishes and I am better now. Doing what doc said to do whenever this happens. Just drink liquids till the pain is gone and then gradually switch to low fiber foods and then get back slowly into high fiber foods. I need to curb my dinner eating as I tend to overeat at that meal and that does not help w/D. Lots of water 72 oz per day helps too. If this does not help w/an attack and it gets worse not better then one is supposed to go to the doc as one might need surgery. And one does not want that!

I will try to do better on what I eat and not gorge myself at one sitting! This was the worst one so far and it was hard to sit there on Christmas Eve in pain watching everyone else enjoy themselves. Not that I didn't like them enjoying it, just wish I could have joined in better.

Thank you, Ruby! I hope your holidays are great too! I'd wish you a 'white Christmas' but that might give you and your neighbors a heart attack, hey? How about a bit of frost, though? Does that work? Naw, your orange trees will frown on me if THAT happens! Sheesh, can't even hope you stay warm as I'm sure that's a given, huh?

Happy Holidays all, but ... GAAACK! JINX!!!!! I covered my citrus and I think they survived (won't know for a while). I put Christmas lights on my bromeliads to give them just a little more warmth in addition to being under my huge live oak tree, and I think they came through all right, too. Some of the more tender annuals in the bog are now in the compost pile ... but 'most everything else survived getting down to 32F, so far. A few plants declaring "this is AWful". (Fish are fine.)
