Re: it's only fair...

I am hoping that the first thing you said to Mrsbrokensword was, "Your hair looks even more lovely than usual. Hard to believe, but it's true."
THEN you go into the mumbling phase of, "in a few days, some delivery guy will drop off a box of little replacement koi ... LOVE YOU..!"

Re: Pond Reconstruction Project (+ Bog)

Hmm. How about a underlayment pebble filled bag and oil pan kitty litter planting plant burrito ? That is, make a underlayment bag, some pebbles in the bottom which would conform better to the gaps between the bottom stones to be a little more stable, tuck the bag sides into the oil pan, held there ...

Re: Pond Reconstruction Project (+ Bog)

Rightfully proud. It is looking good and coming along so nicely. Can you take out one or a few of the bottom round stones and find a flat-ish one to be the base for the water lily? Otherwise, maybe plant them in fabric pots that the pot's bottom will conform to the rounded rocks. Happy Anniversary!

May I add I grew up in Maryland in a house without AC? No AC in the cars. Argh!

Re: How's the weather today?

In case this didn't go over correctly as a reply.
I just was in the heat you know
the weeding went pretty slow(ly)
I used the Sword, I used the rake
and the fish and I all agreed to take
a break
and declare
We do not miss the snow.

Re: Pond Reconstruction Project (+ Bog)

Great job, the folds are looking good and the duct tape wrapped Xmas presents are a smart idea - minimizing the liner-damaging sharp edges. Take it easy, don't over tire yourself, as errors can occur when we're tired.

Re: Pond Reconstruction Project (+ Bog)

Looking like one of those presents in a bag with the tissue paper artfully placed. (just teasing you). Getting the liner in the pond, enough overlap on all the sides and ends and folded neatly is tough work. Do you have help and a second pair of hands, I hope? Don't work too hard, but I can't wait t...

Re: How's the weather today?

Since it's July 1 and most of the rest of the country is above freezing, past snow, and some of the snow melt flooding is easing up, here in West Central Florida, we're just baking away and some of us are hoping for that Rainy Season to start in earnest to provide reliable rain . No, no, not the hur...
